The company was looking to consolidate its voluntary benefit program, as well as implement an active enrollment on a new benefit administration system. The client was extremely concerned about having enough of their own resources to help educate their employees on their benefit changes and their new benefit administration system.
NEES worked with the company during core open enrollment.
We introduced a well-rounded core and voluntary benefit communication campaign to employees using:
- Benefit advisors at every location to meet one-on-one with employees during every shift at every location. Advisors discussed all benefits available through the company.
- Web and telephone enrollment support.
- Out of approximately 11,000 employees on the medical plan, 9600 employees elected to meet with a benefit counselor to receive education on their benefit changes and the new benefit administration system.
- Ongoing monthly enrollment support of new hires.
Overall understanding and appreciation of their benefits program was increased. NEES received a 94% approval rating from employees which was discovered via benefit surveys conducted by the employer. We conducted 9600 benefit counseling sessions, which saved the hospital a tremendous amount of time and resources. Participation in the Voluntary Benefits program was increased from 18% to 52%.
